New Year

You know how some people freak out about their birthday? I don't do that. It's just another day to me anymore. On New Years though it's a whole other story. I almost always get into a funk and/or something bad happens. So tonight, while I'm in a bit of a funk I decided last minute to not visit my family this weekend or go out and party. Instead, I'm staying in all hermit like curled up on the couch with a bottle of wine and a copy of "Love Actually" followed by a marathon of HBO's "ROME"

I mean, If anything can cheer me up it's Hugh Grant dancing to Jump, hopless romantics falling in love with their best friend's fiance, Bill Nighy being awesome and hot hot (and sometimes gloriously naked) Roman Soldiers. If all else fails, I have tons of crackfic bookmarked that I know without a doubt will do the trick.

Well, I usually make a list at the end of the year of my favorite movies, books & films as well as other notable events but I just haven't gotten around to it yet - and maybe never will.  It's certainly not getting done tonight. Let's see how I feel about it tomorrow.

So, it's without any hesitation that I let 2010 show itself the door. Good Riddance, I say!
P.S. I know we got the iPad/tablet computer this year, but where the hell is my flying car and personal clone already?? Who's a girl gotta screw around here to actually get these things? :P

ETA: Minor change of plans. Instead of gloriously hot Romans, I've decided to have my way with Richard Armitage instead in BBC's "North and South" (Move over Mr.Darcy!)

Happy and Safe New Years Everyone!!
